Hi, I'm Erik. I'm not a developer, but I am someone whose phone constantly steals attention from the things that matter.
Focus Aquarium is the app I wanted to exist. I built it solo over the past 2 months, using Claude Code, Xcode, Cursor, Figma, and a lot of trial and error.
No tracking. No ads. No dark patterns. Just a calm tool that rewards focus.

Focus Aquarium is designed with privacy in mind. This policy explains what data the app uses and how it is handled.Data Collection
Focus Aquarium does not collect, transmit, or share personal data. The app may collect anonymous usage signals (see Analytics section below) that cannot be used to identify you. All information generated by the app - including focus session history, virtual currency, owned items, and settings - is stored locally on the user’s device and is not transmitted to any server.Screen Time & Deep Focus Mode
Focus Aquarium offers an optional Deep Focus Mode that uses Apple's Screen Time API (FamilyControls framework) to temporarily limit access to distracting apps during focus sessions. This feature requires explicit user authorization. App selection data and Screen Time information remain entirely on the user's device and are never accessed, stored, or transmitted by Focus Aquarium.Notifications
The app may request permission to send notifications to alert users when a focus session ends. These notifications are generated locally on the device and are not used for marketing, analytics, or tracking purposes.In-App Purchases
In-app purchases are processed entirely by Apple through the App Store. Focus Aquarium does not receive, store, or process payment or billing information.Audio
Focus Aquarium may play bundled background sounds during focus sessions. The app does not access or use the device microphone.Analytics
Focus Aquarium uses TelemetryDeck to collect anonymous, privacy-friendly usage signals. These signals do not include personal data, device identifiers, or any information that can be used to identify you.
The data is used solely in aggregate to understand app usage, such as feature engagement and onboarding completion.
